Now more than ever artists and musicians are capitalizing financially on their art. With the stakes being so high, because of the possibility of losing fans and or corporate sponsorship / business opportunities, should artists avoid social issues? Do they have a duty to use their platform for the betterment of humanity and speak out against social injustices?
