Spin Room
DJ Submission
For March, we’re doing an all-woman DJ lineup to celebrate Women’s History Month!
Thanks for your interest in the Spin Room! Here are a few FAQs to help explain our goals and what our expectations are..
- This event is for DJs to grow, interact, and support other DJs in the community.
- For the working DJs (who are spinning), it’s a place to be able to play what YOU want to play how you want to play it. We all love Top 40 but sometimes we want to just be creative and play the records WE like!
- It is a 21+ event
- It is not a paid event. It is our goal to help put you in a position to obtain paid gigs throughout the city. We’re DJs ourselves so we’re trying to build a community of DJs who can all reach out to each other for work.
- Sets will be 1-hour long
- Both inexperienced and experienced DJs are welcome to and encouraged to perform. If you are interested in building confidence playing in front of live audiences or you want to familiarize yourself with a new genre/style, this will be the perfect event to do so.
- We are not here to judge. You will not be playing for a panel of judges. You are playing for the crowd. We ask that you read the room as best as possible to keep the energy flowing. If you are interested in peer feedback, we can provide it.
- The provided equipment (as of now) will be a Pioneer 1000SRT. Please ensure you have the drivers installed before your set time. Please reach out if you are interested in using your setup.
