Responsibilities Of The DJ. As DJs we have responsibilities to the culture, or do we? Before the internet the DJ was the gatekeeper of the music, responsible for deciding what got played and what got pushed to the side. Now that music is as accessible to fans as it is DJs have our responsibilities changed? Should we be me conscious of who we coose to support or should we just play the music that people want to hear?
